Update from Library Land!

It's Friday and while there's no snow on the ground, there are for sure clouds in the sky covering up our bright sun! It's been a crazy week being back in Illinois and going to school; I think I needed about a week to get back into the swing of things.

But, for the most part, all is well in Library Land (I had a professor my first semester at GSLIS call our field "Library Land" and it has stuck with me ever since. Catchy don't you think?). We dealt with some curveballs, but I'm hopeful that everything will work itself out. Besides, working and attending a public, state government funded institution means that management changes bring all sorts of other changes. There are often ripple effects that aren't obvious at first, but are most definitely felt by people who are just trying to make a change in the world. But that's a story for another blog post...

Homework is the name of this upcoming weekend. Lots of readings and hopefully getting ahead as we turn the corner on to the end of the semester. I can't believe my first year of grad school is almost over!
